Our Soap

We believe there is only one way to make high quality soaps and shampoos.

The Soap Shed makes soap by using the "cold-process" method, which maximizes the emollient benefits of Olive oil and other vegetable oils whilst creating valuable natural glycerine to add to the moisturizing properties. This method also lends itself very well to small-scale production by being very efficient and minimizing waste.

The Soap Shed selects particular vegetable and nut oils for the qualities they bring to a soap or shampoo: Olive oil for its conditioning and moisturizing, Coconut oil for its fluffy lather and hardness, Cocoa Butter for its stable lather and moisturizing and Sweet Almond, Castor and Macadamia for their rich conditioning and lather.

Since no preservatives are used, it is recommended that our natural soaps are protected from direct sunlight and, when not in use, kept in a dry, cool place.

The Soap Shed uses locally sourced ingredients such as; mountain spring water, honey, seaweeds and botanicals. Only 100% pure essential oils are used.
